The only thing that doesn’t allow BT Phone start their project now is that at the moment many phone companies take big sums of money for connecting landlines to mobile phones, and this still remains one of the main sources of income. But, Ofcom is planning to make its announcements soon, and that will mean that phone companies will have no other choice but to reduce charges. It means that usual charge of 4.3 pence for a minute will be decreased to only 0.5 pence for a minute. The changes are expected to be fulfilled by the year 2015.

After this law becomes active the prices for an average phone line will drop greatly. Price for all calls will be quite low. While this all is being worked out, customers will have a great opportunity to sign a new stationary phone contract according to which one will be able to make as much call as he needs. And the most pleasant thing about all this is that calls will be absolutely free!

I’m sure, many telecommunication companies will soon follow BT Phone’s example, but this corporation will be the leading one in any case. BT Phone will help customers to solve the problem of extra payments for their calls and will broaden calling opportunities. And, maybe, phone will not be one of the major item of expenses for many of us!
